Today marks an important milestone for me as I have finally succeeded to modernize Remi Bosman’s MetaBNF project. This was something I had on my mind for along time already after Remi died, but never properly got to it. Now, finally, after 4 months of sporadically spent evening/weekend hours, MetaBNF is brought to modern MPS development! The system is a work in progress, with many rough edges and some bugs still, since it had to come from quite far (the last version Remi migrated to was MPS 3.3 in 2018!). At least, now usage can begin again and various improvements and cool collaborations can be done. I will do my best to take Remi’s original idea and honor his legacy by further stabilizing it and extending it to what Klemens Schindler, Remi Bosman, and me have imagined some years ago. Just check out the github page of MetaBNF to see some specific ideas I already have in mind.
