We strongly believe in the merit of the GTSL (Generic Tools, Specific Languages) approach (as described by Markus Voelter) to tool- and application development and try to adhere to its principles wherever we can. In a way, one may say that this is a very opinionated approach, and it’s certainly true for highly engineered tools with a very big degree of customization, but we’ve found that it works from early phases and covers very many scopes, down to “less hardcore engineered”, which makes it especially useful for internal tooling that can be used for inception and development of all kinds of systems and products.
